Types of Interviews

Traditional interview

This type of interview takes place in the office.

Telephone interview

Telephone interviews are used to narrow down the number of applicants interviewed in person. They are utilized to figure out payment requirements or other information that would automatically exclude regular interviews.

Panel interview

When several persons are evaluated at a similar time, it is called a panel interview.

Instructional interview

This is generally used when there is no specific job opening, but the applicant is trying possibilities in a given career field.

Group interview

In a group interview, two or more applicants are interviewed at the same time.

Online interview

Online interviews are now one of the preferable interview types. Online interviews are the same as traditional interviews. However, in an online interview, candidates can give an interview from their homes.
